Alex Mitchell, working under the name Bones, is a multidisciplinary artist and studio holder at The Margate School of Art. Originally self-taught, he later studied on the European Fine Art Masters programme, further developing a practice that spans painting, sculpture, and writing.
Drawing on mythology, fantasy, Art Nouveau, and Jungian psychology, Bones constructs visionary worlds rich in symbolism and archetype. His work explores transformation, identity, and the tension between darkness and beauty, inviting viewers into deeply imagined landscapes that reflect the complexities of the human experience.
