Mast’s gallery has a wheelchair-accessible entrance through the right-hand doors. There is a very small step, however, and our doors can be heavy. If you think you will need assistance please call the office Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm on 01843838421, or email info@themargateschool.com.
Our building is old, and we do not currently have lift access to upper floors, where the majority of our teaching takes place. Access information will be clearly stated on course pages.

moka café
Our café was founded in 2025 by Natalie Gavin, and is situated in The Margate School of Art. Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10.00am to 4.00pm, Moka serves freshly made sandwiches, cakes and pastries.
Moka also frequently provides catering and drinks for events at Mast.
getting here
by train:
we are a 10-minute walk from Margate Station, with direct trains from Ramsgate, London, Canterbury and the Medway towns
by bus:
Cecil Square bus stop is a 5-minute walk, with the Loop serving Thanet, and the 9 to Canterbury
by car:
the School does not have dedicated parking. Paid parking is available 5 minutes’ walk away in College Square, and free parking can sometimes be found in Margate Old Town and Trinity Hill
