Mast Dada Market Open Call
Open to studioholders and alumni, join us for an alternative Christmas market.
We are looking for contributors to our Christmas market to take place in early December. To stand out in a competitive marketplace and to reflect the madness of 2026, we have decided on a theme of Dada.
You may interpret this how you like, perhaps you have work which fits the theme, you may have something you want to make especially. Do you have a Dada menu idea for selling dada treats? Or get in the dada feastive spirit by dressing yourself, or your stall, in a suitably dada fashion.
We also welcome proposals from surrealist stall holders but extra points to Dada purists.
We will be keeping the pitch fees low to support MAST artists, the money raised will help with marketing the event and organisation. We propose £10 per table and 10% of sales. We are alsk looking for someone to design the MAST (Dada) tree (TBC)
We will get a TEN licence to sell alcohol and are looking help to run the bar and serve Dada snacks.
Spaces are limited, we anticipate space for 12 stalls on our standard sized tables, but we can use smaller furniture so depending on demand. You may of course collaborate and share a table, or reject the table altogether.
Have nothing to sell? Perfect! You may also contribute on a purely non commercial basis!

Need help with dada?
The details
When: Saturday 12 & Sunday 13 December 2026, 11am–6pm. Set-up from Friday 11 December 2026 9am, pack-down by Monday 14 December 2026 7pm.
Where: Mast, 31–33 High Street, Margate — gallery.
Deadline to apply: Friday 23 October 2026, 5pm.
Who can apply: current Mast studio holders, fellows and alumni.
Cost: £20 per table plus 10% of sales. No fee for non-commercial contributions.
What happens next: we'll confirm places by Friday 6 November and send a short stallholder pack with table allocations and timings.
